(My artwork)
WINTER 1946 by Andrew Wyeth is a tepmra painting on a 31 3\8 x 48 inch board.
Andrew Wyeth was a visual artist, mostly a realist painter, work primarily in a regionalist style. His favorite subjects were the land and people around him.
"My people, my objects breathe in a different way: there's another core-an excitement that's definitely abstract. My God, when you really begin to peer into something, a simple object, and realize the profound meaning of that thing-if you an emotion about it, there's no end."
The reason I chose this piece from Andrew is because I liked the simplicity of it and it was the one that I liked best from the NC Museum of Art's collection. I honestly don't know why it caught my eye but it made me think of how alone what appears to be a man is. It reminded me of a lone wolf and that is where I got my inspiration from.
